Kadokawa has released a character trailer for the upcoming Bōkyaku Battery anime from MAPPA. The trailer introduces Kei Kaname. The series will air in April 2024.
Eko Mikawa launched Bōkyaku Battery manga series in 2018 via Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ website. In October 2020, MAPPA animated and released a Bōkyaku Battery special for Jump Special Anime Festa 2020. Three years later, the Bōkyaku Battery anime series was confirmed. In December, a panel at Jump Fest 2024 confirmed that the series would air in April.
Bōkyaku Battery Character Trailer Shows off Kei Katsume
A recent release from Kadokawa has revealed the first character trailer for Bōkyaku Battery. The trailer highlights one of the many protagonists in this baseball anime, Kei Katsume. Mamoru Miyano will play the role of Katsume. Check out the character trailer below:

The story follows a group of baseball players who after having quit playing baseball are reunited by fate after enrolling in the same university. At the time the university did not have a baseball team, so the group who have previously faced off against each other throughout the years form a team and start playing once again, reviving their passion for the sport.
Lastly, Bōkyaku Battery will air in April 2024.
