Mantan Web reports that the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- theatrical screening for the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime generated 1.25 billion yen in Japan. These sales were generated in the screening’s second week of availability in Japan.
Aniplex of America, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment will distribute the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- in North America starting February 23 at participating theaters. As previously announced, the screening covers the final episode of Swordsmith Village Arc and the first episode Hashira Training Arc. Thus far, the screening is a major success in Japan, unsurprisingly.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- Earns
In Japan, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- sold 874,000 tickets and generated over 1.25 billion yen in its second week. The screening is ranked #2 in the Japanese box office. So far, the film has generated approximately $8.35 million.
