Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2 have released the version 1.1.1 update for Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections featuring support for DLC character Hagoromo Otsutsuki. This particular update also adds custom matchmaking for up to eight players.
Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections features the largest playable roster in the entire Ultimate Ninja Storm series. However, this roster will continue to grow with post-launch DLC support via the Season Pass. The latest update prepares for the launch of DLC character Hagoromo Otsutsuki on January 25.

Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections update 1.1.1 adds support for DLC Pack 1 featuring Hagoromo Otsutsuki, a new Combination Secret Technique, five Ninja Info Card Images, and 12 Matching Voices. Custom matchmaking has been added to the latest update with support for 2-player VS battle, 4-player League battles, and 4-to-8 player Tournaments.

- The content above is available for players who have purchased DLC Pack 1 or the Season Pass, which includes of DLC Packs 1 – 5.
- DLC Pack 1 is planned to be released on January 25, 2024. Release date/time may differ depending on region.
Custom Matchmaking
Custom matchmaking has been implemented and allows a user to create a room for up to 8 designated players.
- Users can now participate in the following modes for custom matches:
- VS Battle (2 players)
- League (4 players)
- Tournament (4-8 players)
Other bug fixes and adjustments were made.
Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
