Rocksteady has revealed the first details for Season 1 of post-launch content for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The first season, beginning in March 2024, will include a new playable environment and the game’s first DLC character: the Joker.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a new games-as-a-service title from the makers of the Batman: Arkham series. The game takes players through Metropolis as the titular Suicide Squad attempt to stop the mind-controlled Justice League. The game was initially set to release this year before being delayed to 2024. It is now set to release on February 2, the same day as Persona 3 Reload.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 1 Revealed
In a recent Suicide Squad Insider video, Rocksteady outlined the first major post-launch content that fans can expect from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The game’s first season will begin in March 2024. It will include new boss fights, new DC villain-themed weapons, new Riddler content, new activities, and two episodes focused on Scarecrow and Two-Face.
Further, it will also include a new playable character: The Joker. Fans of the Batman: Arkham series may remember that the Joker died in Batman: Arkham City. This Joker is not the same Joker we know and love, and is instead a Joker from an “Elseworld” where he is a long-time member of the Suicide Squad. Alongside the character’s release, a new playable area will be available: a Funhouse iteration of Gotham City.

The teaser also hints at future seasons, specifically seasons 2-4. It is hard to tell who the next three playable characters will be, but judging by season 3’s icy aesthetic, it’s likely that the Flash villain Captain Cold will make his appearance soon in the upcoming GAAS.
Lastly, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will release on February 2, 2024. Further, the game will be available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
