In a new tweet, Danganronpa and Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE creator Kazutaka Kodaka teased the game announcement for the “Limit x Despair” title, which was initially teased in 2018. This follows up comments Kodaka made in 4Gamer’s year-end interviews in December.
Kodaka’s latest game is Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE, which is published by Spike Chunsoft and developed by Too Kyo Games. Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE brings the investigative elements of Danganronpa to new heights in a compelling mystery adventure game. Kodaka appears to be looking ahead at his next work, which he claims to be revealed in an insane game announcement in 2024.
Kazutaka Kodaka Discusses the Limit x Despair Game
On Twitter, Kodaka explains that the scenario of the new “Limit x Despair” game is “insane and so enthralling.” He says he’s obsessed with the work, and both the announcement and the release of the game will be made in the “not-too-distant future.” As a reminder, Kotaro Uchikoshi is working on Limit x Despair alongside Kodaka, and he too said that one of his projects is “insane.”
“The game I’m working so hard on right now—the scenario is so insane and so enthralling that I end up working more than anything else,” Kodaka said on Twitter. “Even when things get difficult or troublesome, I end up either working or writing scenarios rather than playing or resting. This may be the first time I’ve become so obsessed with a work. I wonder if I’ll burn myself out. In any case, the announcement as well as release are in the not-too-distant future, so I’d like everyone to look forward to it. And well, I’m tired, so I hope you can cheer me on. #Limit #Despair”
