    Monogatari Off Season & Monster Season Anime Coming Soon

    Exciting times for the Monogatari series.

    After cryptic “O” and “M” teases, Aniplex and Nisioisin announced the Monogatari Off Season and Monogatari Monster Season books will be adapted into anime! Monogatari Off Season and Monster Season are in production at studio SHAFT, who previously produced the the new Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp compilation film.

    Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp debuted on January 12 as a compilation of all three Kizumonogatari films. This trilogy includes Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu, Part 2: Nekketsu, and Part 3: Reiketsu. Not too long after the premiere, Aniplex began to release teasers for what would turn out be Monogatari Off Season and Monster Season anime adaptations. 

    Monogatari Off Season & Monster Season Anime Details Revealed

    The new anime series are currently being produced at SHAFT, with staff from the original Monogatari anime returning. Akiyuki Simbo is the chief director for Monogatari Off Season and Monster Season, with Midori Yoshizawa serving as director. Once more, Akio Watanabe will be character designer and chief animation director. Simbo is working with Fuyashi Tou to oversee the scripts. 

    Additionally, Aniplex released a new Off Season and Monster Season key visual by Watanabe. The key visual’s tagline reads “Youth continues into the past and the future.” Check out the new key visual and trailer below.

    Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp is now playing in theaters in Japan, and the movie will come to fans in the west this year. Bakemonogatari anime series director Tatsuya Oishi directed the compilation film at SHAFT. Simbo was the chief director, with Watanabe and Hideyuki Morioka designing the characters. Moreover, Yota Tsuruoka directed the sound composition, and Satoru Kousaki composed the music.
