Bethesda Game Studios have finally revealed the gameplay trailer for the upcoming Indiana Jones game. The game is set to release sometime later this year for Xbox Series X|S and PC.
In 2021, Bethesda announced that a new Indiana Jones game will be made by MachineGames and produced by Todd Howard. MachineGames is known primarily for its work on the new Wolfenstein games, namely Wolfenstein the New Order/Colossus. Todd Howard is, of course, the creative mind behind franchises like Fallout, The Elder Scrolls, and the recently released Starfield.
New Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Trailer Reveals Gameplay
During the Xbox Developer Direct, Todd Howard and MachineGames went into detail about what fans can expect from the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle game. Todd Howard initially pitched the idea to MachineGames and LucasArts and both were overwhelmingly positive. Troy Baker will play the role of Indiana Jones in the upcoming game.
Additionally, it shows off the game’s first person style and how Dr. Jones will go back and forth between solving archaeological puzzles, fighting bad guys, and exploring the world. It also shows off returning characters such as Dr. Brody, first introduced in Raiders of the Lost Arc. There are also new characters, such as Gina, who has a personal stake in the mystery. Players can also see the impressive graphics and multifaceted combat. Check out the gameplay trailer below:
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle allows players to utilize the character’s trademark whip and experience Henry Jones Jr.’s trademark snark first hand. It takes place between Raiders of the Lost Arc and The Last Crusade as Dr. Jones travels to the Vatican, Egypt, and many more areas across the globe. Gordy Haab, known for his works on Halo Wars 2, will compose the music rather than John Williams.
Lastly, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will launch “later this year.” It will be available on the Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.
