Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl Now Releasing in September 2024
GSC Game World recently posted on their official Twitter/X account with an announcement that Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl will now release in September 6, 2024. In the post, they outline the reasons for the delay, stating that last year, they took an early version of the game around the world to show to fans and critics alike. The recent iteration of the game had promise but was still rife with technical problems, as the developers state:
“Throughout the frankly challenging development process, we understood the time was of the team’s main essence. Seeing the scope of polishing and understanding that we can’t push your patience too much, we were absolutely dedicated to releasing the game in Q1 2024, and we worked extra hard to meet the release window. That, however, doesn’t change the fact that at the beginning of this year, we still witnessed the certain amount of technical imperfections that hold S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 below the expected standards for the final experience our fans are waiting for”
The game will now release in September 2024. GSC Game World released a trailer confirming the delay. Check it out below:
