Nearly two years after its initial announcement, Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnouji is finally set for an April 2024 premiere. The new Touken Ranbu anime series will adapt the events of Touken Ranbu: Kyoden Moyuru Honnouji stage play.
The “Touken Ranbu Online Ninth Anniversary’s Eve! Nine Big Announcements Starting at Nine” event was the premier event for Touken Ranbu fans. During the event, a new anime series for Sanrio’s Wanpaku! Touken Ranbu was revealed. Before then, fans may look forward to the new Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnouji anime.
Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnouji – Cast, Staff, and More Revealed
TOHO Animation began to stream a new trailer for Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnouji after the announcement at the anniversary event. The new anime will premiere in April 2024 and likely air on various Japanese TV networks. The main cast and staff have also been revealed.

The latest entry in the long-running Touken Ranbu series is Touken Ranbu Warriors, a Musou spin-off by Koei Tecmo, Omega Force, and Ruby Party. Touken Ranbu Warriors is available now for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam worldwide, and a free demo is available now.
The Touken Ranbu Online game is still ongoing in Japan for PC. However, the English and Traditional Chinese versions of the title were shut down on August 21, 2023.
