In Famitsu’s recent end-of-year creator interviews, Koji Igarashi, the creator of the Bloodstained series, teased a new announcement in 2024. He will likely reveal more about this new title in the coming months as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night ends its post-launch content.
Koji Igarashi is a creative director whose primarily known for his work on Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. In 2019, he released the crowd-funded Metroidvania, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The game serves as a spiritual successor to the Castlevania franchise and has received a litany of post-launch content over the last four years. In 2024, however, the game’s run will seemingly come to an end.
Koji Igarashi Hints at New Game That He Will Reveal in 2024
In a recent Famitsu interview, Koji Igarashi teased his future plans for 2024. Specifically, in a statement translated by Gematsu, he says “In 2024, I’d like to shift my focus to a new title. To do that, we must first properly wrap up work on Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. While there is some content still to be released, I believe that we should be able to make a big announcement in 2024. I’d also like to take on new challenges if the opportunity arises.”
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is available now on all consoles. Steam describes it as follows:
