    Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Mini Anime Gets a Fifth Episode

    A magic spell that brings good luck.

    While fans wait for the main anime’s second cour, TOHO Animation released the fifth episode for the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End mini anime, which is officially titled Frieren’s Mini Anime Magic of ??. This new episode sees the debut of Sein, the latest member of Frieren’s group, in the mini anime.

    Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End premiered on September 29 with a two-hour special featuring four episodes. The first cour ended on December 22 with a total of 16 episodes, and the anime will continue this January with episode 17, which marks the beginning of the First Class Mage Exam. Meanwhile, fans may enjoy a new episode of the mini anime during the short break in between cours.

    Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Mini Anime Episode 5

    In episode 5 of Frieren’s Mini Anime Magic of ??, Frieren attempts to learn a new magic spell that brings good luck. The group tests the spell out when they reach a fork in the road, with Stark selects one of the two paths. Fortunately, the spell appears to have worked, leading Stark and the crew to a delicious and tender meal. Sein tests his own luck as well.

    The second cour of the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime will begin on Friday, January 5 at 11:00 p.m. JST. New episodes of the anime will air each week at the same time slot on various Japanese TV networks, including Nippon Television (NTV), and streaming services. Additionally, fans around the world may watch the Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End anime on Crunchyroll as it airs in Japan.

    The mage Frieren defeated the Demon King alongside the hero Himmel’s party after a 10-year quest. Peace was restored to the kingdom. Because she is an elf, she is able to live over a thousand years. She promises Himmel and the others that she will be back to see them and then sets out on a journey by herself. Fifty years later, Frieren goes to visit Himmel and the others. She remained unchanged, but Himmel and the others have aged and only a little of their lives remain. Later, she witnesses Himmel’s death. Frieren is pained by her desire to have spent more time getting to know people. With that regret in her heart, she then goes on a journey to do just that. On her journey, she meets many people and many events await her.
