This past September around Tokyo Game Show 2023, HoYoverse’s Honkai: Star Rail development team visited ATLUS to thank them for a previous interview. Japanese outlet denfaminicogamer was able to attend this visit as well, and they were able to reveal new artwork of March 7th from Honkai: Star Rail, illustrated by Persona series and Metaphor: ReFantazio character designer Shigenori Soejima.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is an exciting new fantasy RPG developed by Studio Zero, which is led by former Persona series director Katsura Hashino. The new RPG was recently highlighted at The Game Awards 2023 with a new trailer, and ATLUS released new tidbits of information throughout the past few weeks. ATLUS also released new holiday artwork featuring Gallica from Metaphor: ReFantazio.
New Honkai: Star Rail March 7th Artwork by Shigenori Soejima
To commemorate the development team’s visit to ATLUS offices, Shigenori Soejima drew a stunning illustration of Honkai: Star Rail character March 7th alongside Gallica from Metaphor: ReFantazio. According to denfaminicogamer’s interview, which was translated and reported by @MbKKssTBhz5, Hashino gave an explanation about Metaphor: ReFantazio to the Honkai: Star Rail developers. In addition, Hashino showed illustrations that have not been revealed to the public yet. denfaminicogamer also notes that ATLUS reached out to the outlet for this opportunity, and they were happy to accept it.

The Honkai: Star Rail development team also recently visited Nihon Falcom, the developers of the Ys and Trails series. Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo is open to the companies working together for future game collaborations. The possibilities are seemingly endless, if Honkai: Star Rail manages to collaborate with both Persona and Trails.
Metaphor: ReFantazio launches in fall 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Lastly, Honkai: Star Rail is available now for Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, and PC via Epic Games Store.
