The story of Haigakura takes place in the world of Senkai. This is a sacred world where immortals and humans live, but it’s on the verge of collapse. Protagonist Ichiyou and his follower Tenkou set out on a journey to search for the four evil gods responsible for bringing ruin to Senkai. Ichiyou is a poet warrior who uses a technique called Kessai to capture such evil gods.
Lastly, the new Haigakura anime will premiere in 2024 across Japanese TV networks.
“It has been 15 years this year since I started drawing the manga in obscurity in a bimonthly magazine, Shinobu Takayama said in a message released in August. “I am amazed at how much time has passed, but I can’t believe that in the 15th year, an anime adaptation has been decided…! Even now, I can’t get over the surprise. To all of you who gave me so much support and effort to make this project a reality, thank you so much. I hope you will continue to support both Haigakura, the manga and the anime.”
