What Happened in Frieren Episode 15? (Recap)

Frieren and her friends visited a village that was afflicted with a sleeping curse in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End episode 15. Sein and Frieren worked together to defeat the monster that was the source of this curse. The latter half of the episode’s story sees Stark get hired by a nobleman to pose as his dead son for a banquet. The episode took an emotional turn since Stark reminds the nobleman of his son, and the nobleman’s family reminds Stark of his deceased family. Fern is there to support him, and the two enjoy an elegant dance together at the banquet. Near the end of the episode, Stark declines the nobleman’s request for adoption, since Stark wants to return to Eisen.

While waiting for the new Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End episode, fans can watch episodes of the Frieren mini anime. Four episodes have been released so far on TOHO Animation’s YouTube channel. Lastly, Crunchyroll’s overview of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End reads:

The mage Frieren defeated the Demon King alongside the hero Himmel’s party after a 10-year quest. Peace was restored to the kingdom. Because she is an elf, she is able to live over a thousand years. She promises Himmel and the others that she will be back to see them and then sets out on a journey by herself. Fifty years later, Frieren goes to visit Himmel and the others. She remained unchanged, but Himmel and the others have aged and only a little of their lives remain. Later, she witnesses Himmel’s death. Frieren is pained by her desire to have spent more time getting to know people. With that regret in her heart, she then goes on a journey to do just that. On her journey, she meets many people and many events await her.
