    Gintama Spin-off Anime 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei Coming in 2025

    Gintama is finally coming back.

    TV Tokyo confirms that the Gintama spin-off novel 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei will receive an anime adaptation in 2025. In the spin-off, Gintoki Sakata is a high school teacher in charge of Class 3-Z at Gintama High School.

    Hideki Sorachi’s popular Gintama series began with the manga in 2004 and ran all the way until June 2021. In March 2023, an anime adaptation for the 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei spin-off novel by Tomohiko Osaki was announced. News about this anime was scarce, but Jump Festa 2024 was the right opportunity for an update.

    Gintama Returns with the 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei Anime

    A new trailer was shown at Jump Festa 2024, revealing that the Gintama anime will return with 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei in 2025. This anime is part of the Gintama franchise’s 20th anniversary plans, which includes the Gintama Exhibition – Hatachi no Tsudoi. This new exhibition will be held at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, Tokyo in winter 2024. Sorachi will share hand-drawn drafts from the Gintama manga, and exhibition attendees can expect photo ops and original merchandise.
