Square Enix announced SaGa Emerald Beyond launches on April 25, 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, iOS, Android, and PC via Steam. During the company’s latest broadcast, a new key visual and two new trailers were revealed.
Square Enix recently held the SaGa Glimmerfest 2023 livestream as a celebration of the SaGa franchise’s 35th anniversary. SaGa series developers Masanori Ichikawa and Akitoshi Kawazu, localization director Neil Broadley, and other special guests shared exciting updates about SaGa Emerald Beyond and Romancing SaGa Re;univerSe.
SaGa Emerald Beyond New Protagonist Details
Square Enix confirms that SaGa Emerald Beyond will land on April 25, and the developers introduced protagonists Tsunanori Mido and Ameya Aisling. Firstly, Tsunanori comes from the Mido family, whose bloodline has a unique ability to control kugutsu puppets. He joins the Cathedral Project, a group that explores other worlds, in hopes of repairing the city’s weakening barrier and regain lost spiritual energy.
Miyako City schoolgirl Yumeha Izumi is actually a witch in disguise, Ameya Aisling. Aisling’s witch powers were stolen, and she hopes that following mysterious emerald waves may help her discover the culprit, regain her mana, and become the best witch of all time.
