Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince is a wonderful RPG brimming with content. However, the fun doesn’t end with the base game. You can access the eshop to purchase DLC that nets you items, costumes, and additional content! Read through our Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince DLC Guide to learn how to access it!
What is the DLC?
The DLC is surprisingly substantial. It of course has some bonus items and costumes which are nice, but there are also amenities that expand the game in these DLC packs. They give you dungeons to explore, items, and plenty of things you can sink some serious game time into. I do wonder why some of these aren’t in the base game though.
How to Access It
This is the easy part. Just claim your DLC from the Title Screen and play the game. You’ll have to get through some tutorial stuff in the opening hours, but that’s pretty much it!
DLC
All of the DLC is available in the Deluxe Edition, here’s a list of all the separate packs:
- The Mole Hole – amenity, Cake-Maker’s Clobber costume
- Coach Joe’s Dungeon Gym – amenity, Gothic Vestment costume
- Treasure Trunks – amenity, Monstrous Mail costume
- Prince’s Pack – Burgandy Gothic Vestment costume, 10 x Beastie Bites, Warrior’s Ring Accessory
Facilities
Much of the DLC includes amenities that give you items or new gameplay to sink your teeth into. These are all accessed via the Paddock. Just Zoom on over or use the teleportal in Rosehill to get there.
- Treasure Trunks nets you a new item from a pre-specified pool. You can open a chest every hour.
- The Mole Hole is a dungeon that has different floors for each rank of monster. This lets you find and Scout several monsters.
- Coach Joe’s Dungeon Gym is perfect for training! Keep in mind that you must follow special rules in each dungeon such as having a monster party within the same rank or family. These dungeons refresh daily.
Costumes
All of the DLC includes costumes for Psaro to wear. Just claim them from the title screen, open your item menu in the game, and then browse your key items. This lets you swap outfits on the fly! Dress for the occasion or wear something that shows your style!
