Aniplex released a new trailer and key visual for Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp, a compilation film for the Kizumonogatari anime series. This upcoming film is destined for a January 12 in Japan.
The Kizumonogatari anime series was released in three consecutive films from 2016 to 2017. Firstly, Kizumonogatari Part 1: Tekketsu released in January 2016, followed by Part 2: Nekketsu in August 2016. Part 3: Reiketsu finished the trilogy in January 2017. Seven years after the trilogy wrapped up, the anime series makes a triumphant return.

The official trailer for Kizumonogatari: Koyomi Vamp highlights the relationship between Araragi and Kiss-shot. Despite begin bitten by the vampire, Araragi remains a human. Fans can expect a comprehensive re-edit that tells the entire story in a single theatrical release. Moreover, the new key visual prepares fans for upcoming premiere by focusing on one of the scenes from the beginning of the film.

Kizumonogatari is the third volume in the highly popular Monogatari book series by Nisioisin. It is also a prequel to Bakemonogatari. In the novel, protagonist Koyomi Araragi meets a female vampire, Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade in a fateful encounter. The story tells of his journey back to a normal life after meeting her.
Bakemonogatari anime series director Tatsuya Oishi also directed the film trilogy at the anime studio SHAFT. Akiyuki Simbo was was the chief director according to the series credits. In addition, Akio Watanabe and Hideyuki Morioka designed the characters. Yota Tsuruoka directed the sound composition, and Satoru Kousaki composed the music. The SHAFT staff returns to direct the compilation film.
