At the end of The Game Awards 2023, Larian Studios posted a tweet announcing that Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available for Xbox consoles. While it has been known that an Xbox Series X|S version would eventually make its way to players, this announcement comes as a surprise.
The game is currently available to purchase and play digitally, although players who wish to pick up a physical copy still have an option. The Deluxe Edition of Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available to pre-order. It will cost fans a bit more but comes with several goodies to make up for that.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Accolades Trailer
Baldur’s Gate 3 previously launched on other platforms earlier this year, and the game was met with critical acclaim, as the accolades trailer above shows. Considering that the game is the Game of the Year winner at The Game Awards 2023, it may be surprising for some to learn that this Xbox release was not announced during it.
Despite that, many Xbox fans are still likely excited to see what all the fuss is about. Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and macOS.
