Remedy Entertainment has announced that new game plus will be available within Alan Wake 2 on December 11. The update, titled the Final Draft, will be completely free.
Remedy initially released Alan Wake in 2010. The game is the latest entry in “Remedy Entertainment’s Connected Universe.” The franchise includes the first Alan Wake, Quantum Break, and Control. It is unknown if the Kestrel will be included in the franchise. Check out our review of the game here.
Alan Wake 2 New Game Plus Dropping Next Monday
During The Game Awards 2023, Remedy Entertainment announced that new game plus will be available in Alan Wake 2 on December 11. The update, titled The Final Draft, is rumored will feature a new ending, story scenarios, and more. The new mode will be entirely free on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Additionally, after The Game Awards, Remedy Entertainment revealed more information about the upcoming mode on their website. It states:
The Final Draft unveils a new ending to the layered story of Alan Wake, sure to spark speculation and theories among our dedicated fans. Additionally, there is new lore to be found in the form of a few new videos and manuscript pages that have been added to New Game Plus experience, along with other subtle additions.
Players will retain all weapons, Charms and character upgrades earned during their first playthrough. They should come in handy when you seek the ultimate challenge of trying out the new Nightmare Difficulty level. Brace yourselves for intensified enemies, strategic gameplay, and an adrenaline-pumping experience that will push your skills to the limit.
The Game Awards 2023 is Airing Now
The Game Awards 2023 marks the 10th annual award showcase held in Los Angeles. Hosted by Geoff Keighley, the TGAs look to provide a celebration of games and the developers behind them. Dozens of awards are up for grabs, from Best Score and Music to the coveted Game of the Year award. 2023 has proven to be one of the most memorable years of games in recent memory. We’ve seen releases like Spider-Man 2, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and Final Fantasy XVI. This year’s awards winners will have fought a tough battle.
