    What Happened in Chapter 133?

Nino contemplates how Ruby can understand Ai and become more like her for the film, and she ultimately determines that Ruby may need to experience similar mental turmoil that her mother experienced. Ruby talks to Kana about her worries, revealing that she’s insecure about her role as Ai. Kana says everything will be alright, since she can succeed in other endeavors. Ruby says that she’s worried about Kana since she’s a close friend and teammate, and Kana believes she can’t play the role of Ai with such attachments.

Ruby continues to cry, stating that she wants to make her mom and family proud, and she wants to perform at any cost to make that wish come true. Kana sees herself in Ruby, and she understand what must happen to make Ruby perform to her utmost abilities. Kana wants to sever her friendship with Ruby out of envy, revealing that someone like her can’t outshine a Hoshino in the idol industry. She makes Ruby feel the loneliness and despair that Ai once felt—a complete lack of support and friendship. Lastly, the chapter ends with Kana exclaiming that she wants Ruby to disappear completely.
