Iron Galaxy has officially announced that the Killer Instinct Anniversary Edition will be available tomorrow, November 28. The update will feature patches for many of the character’s roster like Fulgore, Shin Hisako, and more. The new edition will also be replacing the original Definitive Edition with a new aesthetic, features, and the recent patch built-in.
Killer Instinct is a beloved fighting game released on the Xbox One. Microsoft and Double Helix launched the game in 2013 before Iron Galaxy took over Seasons 2 and 3 development. Fans have been hoping for a sequel to the Xbox Series X|S for years. The upcoming update is set to breathe new life into the beloved fighting game.
Killer Instinct Anniversary Edition Releasing Tomorrow
On the official Killer Instinct Twitter/X account, they confirmed that the much-anticipated “Anniversary Edition” update will drop tomorrow, November 28. The update will be available at 12 PM PDT or 3 PM EDT. It will include several buffs and patches for much of the game’s roster. Additionally, it will also feature a new aesthetic, art for the characters, and a free-to-play option on Steam.
The free KI base game will feature one free weekly rotating Fighter and Single-Player, Local, and Ranked modes. Additionally, the Killer Instinct Anniversary Edition will be replacing the original Definitive Edition. It will include all 29 Fighters, and all Premium Content ever released: the VIP Double XP Booster, holiday accessories, and more.
