    SPY x FAMILY CODE: White Getting a New Novel Adaptation

    Shueisha announced that the upcoming SPY x FAMILY CODE: White anime film will receive an official novel adaptation. The novel will be available alongside the movie’s premiere in Japanese theaters on December 22. 

    The SPY x FAMILY anime adaptation premiered in April 2022 with the first cour, which was also streamed on Crunchyroll with an English dub. SPY x FAMILY Season 2 followed up on October 7, 2023, and the new SPY x FAMILY CODE: White film will premiere just a few months afterwards this December.

    A new Shueisha Books listing confirms that the SPY x FAMILY CODE: White novel by Aya Yajima will be released on December 22. Yajima’s previous works include the SPY x FAMILY: Family Portrait novel. The 244-page novel will cost 814 yen (tax included). An English release was not announced, however.

    WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks are animating the new film with Takashi Katagiri serving as director. Ichiro Okouchi is the scriptwriter, and Kazuaki Shimada is the character designer. Moreover, Kana Ishida serves as the sub-character designer. Kyoji Asano is the chief animation director, and Kazuhiro Furuhashi is the animation supervisor. [K]NoW_NAME is the music producer with Shōji Hata serving as the sound director.

    New episodes of SPY x FAMILY typically air on Saturdays at 11:00 p.m. JST. The anime airs on multiple channels in Japan, including TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, and TV Setouchi. 30 minutes after a new episode airs in Japan, Crunchyroll and Hulu stream the new SPY x FAMILY episode with English subs. 

    Lastly, SPY x FAMILY CODE: White premieres on December 22 in Japan. Both seasons of the anime is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll. The SPY x FAMILY manga is available to read right now on Manga Plus and VIZ Media.
