During a recent Anime NYC 2023 panel, Studio Trigger revealed more staff members returning to the Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt revival. Trigger still has not yet confirmed the release date for the series.
Panty and Stocking initially premiered in 2010. Only one season and thirteen episodes have ever been released. The upcoming revival is set to be the first continuation of the anime in thirteen years.
New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Staff Details
Studio Trigger confirmed that Sushio and Mai Yoneyama will be returning to work on the new Panty & Stocking revival. Yoneyama worked as a key animator on the previous Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt anime, marking her debut as a key animator. Sushio will work on the new project as an animator. He had worked as an animation director and key animator on the original show.

Additionally, during the panel, the panelists solicited ideas from the audience for a new character who will appear in the anime. The panel also showed several production sketches and visuals, as well as character images of characters who may or may not appear in the final work.

“Panty and Stocking are obscene angels who were banished from the pearly gates for being foul-mouthed, sex-crazed, sugar-addicted bad girls! Now they spend their days hunting ghosts in the lecherous abyss between Heaven and Earth.”
Lastly, the Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt revival will premiere sometime in the near-future.
