The producer of Star Ocean: The Second Story R shared a message for fans thanking them for their support. The game is available now on most modern consoles.
Star Ocean: The Second Story R is a remake of the 1998 PS1 JRPG classic. The remake boasts updated visuals, new quality-of-life features that aim to modernize the experience, re-arranged music, and much more. Some aspects of this remake are carried over from the updated PSP version of the game, Star Ocean: Second Evolution. Kei Komaki, the producer of Star Ocean: The Second Story R, recently gave a message through the franchise’s official Twitter/X account. The message thanks fans for their support of the game, which is available now.

Hello, everyone!
This is Kei Komaki, producer of STAR OCEAN THE SECOND STORY R. I am so glad that STAR OCEAN THE SECOND STORY R launched successfully on the 2nd of November.
Since its release, we have received so many kind words from players who are enjoying the game, both in Japan and around the world. Thank you to all the fans who have shown their support for this franchise. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
I cannot express my gratitude to you all. We have heard from a lot of players that this is their first time playing a STAR OCEAN title, and we are so happy to hear it! If you know anybody who hasn’t played STAR OCEAN THE SECOND STORY R yet, please feel free to point them towards the demo, and give them your recommendation!
Nothing would make me happier, as a member of the team, than for more and more people to play and experience this title from the beloved STAR OCEAN franchise.
