Disney Plus has announced that an anime based on the SAND LAND manga will premiere on the service in Spring 2024. The anime will feature a new story and continue after the events of the movie.
Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga, and ANIMA co-produced the recent SAND LAND movie with Bandai Namco Entertainment. The movie was initially announced as part of SAND LAND project. The project also includes toys and an action RPG that will come out sometime in the near future.
SAND LAND Anime Releasing Next Spring on Disney +
On Twitter/X, the official SAND LAND account announced that an anime based on the series will release exclusively on Disney Plus. The series will include “new cut-scenes that have not been featured before. It will also feature a “brand-new story” set after the movie. The post is available below:

The SAND LAND movie premiered in Japan in August 2023. The movie will premiere worldwide in 2024. Additionally, the manga is available in its entirety on Viz Media. They describe the series as follows:

The video game based on the manga will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam sometime in the near future. Bandai Namco will likely reveal the release date soon. Lastly, the SAND LAND anime will premiere on Disney Plus in Spring 2024.
