One of the unique characters in Star Ocean: The Second Story R that you can recruit is swordmaster Dias.
Character Recruitment Basics
There are a few basics of character recruitment to keep in mind on your adventure.
- You can only have a maximum party size of 8 total characters
- Most characters are recruited from Sub Events and Private Actions. Be sure to refer to your map often in order to stay as up-to-date as possible.
- There are a couple of characters that are only available to one of the two protagonists. So choose wisely in order to get who you really want!
- Some characters require you to decline another character’s offer to join you in order to get.
As long as you remember these basics, it’ll be a cinch to get what characters you want. However, sometimes there are extra requirements that you must complete in order to complete the recruitment process.
How to Recruit Dias – Star Ocean: The Second Story R
You will encounter Dias many times throughout the story. He joins Rena for a short time and actually gets a unique fight against Claude. Dias joins you a little later in the game, as you must get through the Armory Contest in Laceur and the Hoffman Ruins events. After these, you will return to the Laceur Front Line Base, where you will ask to join you on your journey.
NOTE: Dias can only be recruited if you select Rena as your protagonist.
