Character Recruitment Basics
There are a few basics of character recruitment to keep in mind on your adventure.
- You can only have a maximum party size of 8 total characters
- Most characters are recruited from Sub Events and Private Actions. Be sure to refer to your map often in order to stay as up-to-date as possible.
- There are a couple of characters that are only available to one of the two protagonists. So choose wisely in order to get who you really want!
- Some characters require you to decline another character’s offer to join you in order to get.
As long as you remember these basics, it’ll be a cinch to get what characters you want. However, sometimes there are extra requirements that you must complete in order to complete the recruitment process.
How to Recruit Chisato in Star Ocean: The Second Story R
MINOR STORY SPOILERS AHEAD
Chisato takes quite a while to recruit. The process can begin once you leave Expel and go to Nede. After the introductory scenes in Nede, leave the city hall and head left. There will be a Sub Event/Private Action here where you encounter Chisato for the first time. You can bump into her a few more times, but the time that really matters is in the Red Crystal Cave. She will drop her ID Card. Retrieve it and take it back to her in Central City’s city hall. You will suggest she joins you after this.
