A report from Windows Central stated that error messages are popping up for consumers who have been plugging in unofficial third-party Xbox accessories. The error message states the following:

A connected accessory is not authorized. Using unauthorized accessories compromises your gaming experience. For this reason, the unauthorized accessory will be blocked from use on 11/12/2023.

Xbox consoles will no longer support certain third-party accessories like controllers, headphones, and likely fighting joysticks in the upcoming update. Controllers that are available on Xbox’s official website range from $40 to $180 in some cases.
