Kadokawa announced the upcoming anime adaptation of the Gushing Over Magical Girls manga will premiere in January 2024. A new trailer gives fans another look into the animer series ahead of its premiere in the new year.
The Gushing Over Magical Girls manga by author Akihiro Ononaka entered serialization in Takeshobo’s Manga Life Storia magazine in 2019. Takeshobo ceasing publishing of the magazine, but the manga continued to release via the company’s Storia Dash website. The new anime series by Asahi Production will debut in 2024.

Alongside the confirmation of the January 2024 premiere, the new trailer highlights the characters and voice cast of Gushing Over Magical Girls. Moreover, a new key visual featuring the magical girls has been revealed.

Fruits Basket (2019) director Tadato Suzuki returns to direct the new Gushing Over Magical Girls anime at Asahi Production. Suzuki is joined by co-director Atsushi Ootsuki and series script writer Noboru Kimura. Character designs are handled by Yasuka Ōtaki, and Satoshi Motoyama is the anime’s sound director. Moreover, Yasuharu Takanashi, Akinari Suzuki, and Johannes Nilsson serve as composers with Lantis in charge of music production.
Where to Watch the Anime
Gushing Over Magical Girls will premiere in 2024 across Japanese TV networks. A worldwide distributor and streaming platform for the new anime has not been announced just yet (i.e. Crunchyroll).
