Amazon Prime Video and Bethesda announced that the Fallout original TV series will air on April 12, 2024. The series will be available exclusively on the Amazon Prime service.
Fallout is one of Bethesda’s most prolific franchises. The most recent game in the series was Fallout 76, a controversial MMO-styled first-person shooter. Bethesda has revealed little information about the upcoming TV show besides its release date and setting.
Fallout TV Series Airing in April
According to a post from the official Amazon Prime Video Twitter, the Fallout original TV series will premiere in April 2024. The company posted a short teaser revealing the announcement. Check it out below:

The series will be set in Los Angeles, “where dreams come true.” Every Fallout game is set in a fallout bunker that the protagonist, a survivor, must leave to explore the wider world. In this case, the bunker, titled a Vault, is called “Vault 33.”
During Gamescom in August 2023, Bethesda Designer and Director Todd Howard revealed a first look at the upcoming series to attendees. They showed very little besides the world of the Fallout series. Before delivering the footage, however, Howard elaborated on the process that went into the series and what it was like to work with acclaimed producer Johnathan Nolan.
“One of the movies which inspired Starfield is the movie Interstellar, written by Jonathan Nolan – he goes by Jonah. I got to know Jonah, and I always wanted to make a Fallout TV show! So I talked to Jonah about it and we have been making the Fallout TV show that’s coming, and we thought we would give you a sneak peek.”
Bethesda’s most recent game, Starfield, is their first major release in nearly ten years and their first new franchise in almost twenty. The game is available now on the Xbox Series X|S and PC. Lastly, Fallout will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 12. Bethesda and Amazon will release more information on the upcoming series in the coming months.
