The staff for the upcoming second half of the beloved anime Urusei Yatsura has revealed more of the series’ cast. The second half of the series will premiere in January 2024.
Urusei Yatsura is an adaptation of the manga by Rumiko Takahashi and it first aired in 1981. The anime began again in October 2022. It will last for four parts with a total of forty-six episodes. The anime’s staff have revealed a new teaser and cast details for the second part.
Urusei Yatsura 2nd Half Cast Details
The website for the upcoming anime revealed that the following cast members will be joining the series:
- M.A.O as Asuka Mizunokōji
- Toshiharu Sakurai as Asuka’s Father
- Kotono Mitsuishi as Asuka’s Mother
They will be joining the likes of Sumire Uesaka as Lum and Hiroshi Kamiya as Ataru Moroboshi. The latter is known for his work as Ego Jinpachi from Blue Lock. Takahiro Kamei will be the director of the new part. He is a veteran at David Productions, directing many episodes of Fire Force and Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind.
Masaru Yokohama is in charge of music composition for the series. He’s an extremely talented musician, working on Horimiya, Fruits Basket, and many more. Check out the newly revealed teaser below:
