Shueisha and DeNA Announce JUMP: Assemble MOBA Game

Anime protagonists battle in a MOBA environment.

Shueisha and DeNA have announced JUMP: Assemble, a new 5-on-5 multiplayer online battle arena game (MOBA). Iconic characters from Weekly Shonen Jump-published manga will be featured in the new game next year.

In 2019, DeNA and Shueisha announced its joint venture to develop games and digital services for fans in Japan and around the world. News regarding the joint venture’s games was scarce over the years, but JUMP: Assemble appears to be one of its first major games that anime and manga fans should take note of.

JUMP: Assemble Brings Anime Heroes Together

JUMP: Assemble will launch in 2024 for Android and iOS with Chinese and Korean versions in Southeast Asia and East Asia, excluding Japan. However, Shueisha and DeNA plan to release the game in other regions around the world according to its joint press release. At launch, popular characters from Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Jujutsu Kaisen, Undead Unluck, and Mashle will appear. More characters from other popular anime and manga franchises will be added to the game.

An exact release date for JUMP: Assemble was not announced, but more information is likely to arrive later in the year near events like Jump Festa. Jump Festa 2024 will be held from December 16 to 17 at the Makuhari Messe with three main stage events. The events will detail the latest information about ongoing projects relating to One Piece, My Hero Academia, Jujutsu Kaisen, SPY x FAMILY, Bleach, Gintama, and so much more. Attendees will be able to visit booths, purchase exclusive merchandise from their favorite series, and witness major announcements first-hand.

In 2024, Jump fans may also look forward to Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board, a new Nintendo Switch game inspired by Mario Party. Demon Slayer fans may enjoy an exciting board/party game locally or online. Several characters will be playable including Tanjiro Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, and the nine Hashiras. In addition, Nezuko Kamado will be selectable as a support character.
