PlatinumGames announced that Hideki Kamiya is leaving the company on October 12 after spending nearly 16 years there. He co-founded PlatinumGames alongside Atsushi Inaba, Shinji Mikami, and Tatsuya Minami on October 1, 2007.
Hideki Kamiya directed the iconic Bayonetta series at PlatinumGames, and he was directing the new Project G.G. game before his departure was announced. He also had aspirations for the future of the Bayonetta series following the releases of Bayonetta 3 and Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon.
