Persona 3 Reload Includes New Strega Scenes, Linked Episodes

Several new details about the story and battle system.

    Published:

SEGA and ATLUS shared more news about Persona 3 Reload after the recent trailer, including all-new Linked Episodes, additional scenes with Strega, and so much more. In addition, the English version of the recently released trailer was uploaded.

As previously revealed, Persona 3 Reload includes brand-new content and quality-of-life features. Some of these additions includes newly designed battle armor, unique Tartarus conversations, additional side episodes featuring members of S.E.E.S, and an all-new English voice cast. The Strega members will also get their time in the limelight with additional scenes and backstory development.

Persona 3 Reload New Strega Scenes

In Persona 3 Reload, Strega will stand in the way of S.E.E.S by using the Dark Hour again. Takaya (voiced by Daman Mills) is the leader of Strega and considers the Dark Hour to be a blessing of sorts for those who wield the power of Persona. He charismatically leads Strega with Jin (voiced by Chris Hackney) and Chidori (voiced by Merit Leighton) underneath him. Jin is a young man who specializes in data analysis and runs the “Revenge Request” website for Strega, and Chidori is a young woman that carries out the requests. Jin wields the Persona Moros, whereas Chidori wields the Persona Medea. These Strega characters will be highlighted in new scenes that expand on their respective backstories.

    Protagonist’s Confidants

Shuji Ikutsuki (voiced by Jake Green) is the chairman of Gekkoukan High School and advisor to S.E.E.S. He tends to joke around with unfunny puns, and he’s able to remain conscious during the Dark Hour despite not having Persona abilities.

Elizabeth (voiced by Tara Platt) is a resident of the Velvet Room who is extremely curious of the protagonist and the outside world. She even asks the protagonist to escort her around to different locations.

Pharos (voiced by Aleks Le) is a boy that greets the protagonist upon his arrival in town. He asks the protagonist to sign a strange contract, and he remains shrouded in mystery throughout the entire game.

    Battle System

The familiar battle system of Persona has been improved. Several returning mechanics return including 1MORE and All-Out-Attack, so players should strive to target enemy weaknesses in order to known them down. Enemies may also knock down the party by striking their weaknesses, however. Direct Command and Assist options also make a return, and the Baton Pass mechanic from Persona 5 / Persona 5 Royal is now available as Shift. A special skill known as Theurgy will be introduced in Persona 3 Reload as well. Theurgy includes high-powered abilities that can only be used when a character’s gauge is full. This gauge charges up as the character attacks, uses skills, and performs other actions over time.

    New Linked Episodes

Persona 3 Reload adds all-new Linked Episodes, which are new story scenes involving characters from S.E.E.S and the protagonist’s other friends. Giving advice and hanging out with them will strengthen the protagonist’s bonds. The protagonist will also receive upgrades and new Persona fusions.
