SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio released a new gameplay trailer for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth introducing the game’s combat system and the wealth of new mini-games in Hawaii. Players will be able to control both Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu in an adventure that will span two countries.
In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Sawashiro informs Ichiban Kasuga that Akane, Ichiban’s biological mother, is still alive in Hawaii. However, Kasuga is quickly drawn into trouble after arriving. This leads to the scene from the initial reveal trailer where Kasuga wakes up on the shores of the beach of Hawaii.
Combat in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
The turn-based combat system of Yakuza: Like a Dragon returns with new twists in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. For instance, Kiryu may power up and unleash attacks in real-time combat during a turn. Players will have access to brand-new classes such as Samurai, Desperado, Geodancer, Pyrodancer, Housekeeper, and Action Star. Kiryu and Kasuga are also joined by new party members such as Eric and Chitose. Moreover, several characters from prior Yakuza entries such as Shun Akiyama and Kaoru Sayama will return as Poundmates (summons).
Mini-Games
Several new mini-games will be available in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, including Crazy Delivery. In Crazy Delivery, Kasuga performs tricks and delivers food on a bike in a Crazy Taxi-like mini-game. Sujimon may now be used for the Sujimon Battles mini-game, and the new Miss Match mini-game allows Kasuga to match with a lucky lady online. Karaoke will also make its return alongside Darts and other staple mini-games of the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series. Furthermore, Virtua Fighter 3, SEGA Bass Fishing, and Spikeout will be some of the playable arcade games.
