Are you planning on experiencing Lies of P on the go? Fortunately, you appear to be in luck. The game looks to be a solid performer on Valve’s handheld. While there isn’t much to be concerned about, here’s what you should know about playing Lies of P on the Steam Deck.
Lies of P Steam Deck Performance
Out of the box, Lies of P runs pretty decently on the Steam Deck. However, while the game can achieve 60 FPS in some scenarios, this will not be a stable experience. In addition, Lies of P boots with everything set to low by default. So, if you wish to play with some fancier visuals, you will need to sacrifice some performance.
That being said, you may want to increase the texture quality regardless of which settings you play at. As with the other settings, textures are low by default. Increasing this to medium or even high will have a minimal effect on performance.
To maximize performance and battery life, it is likely best to limit the framerate to 50 FPS. Furthermore, it may be wise to set a lower TDP limit to get the most out of the Steam Deck’s battery. Feel free to experiment with what works best for you. While the game is very well optimized, you are likely not going to get very long play sessions off of one charge.
Additional Info
Lies of P will be displayed in a 16:10 aspect ratio, which means that it will fill out the Deck’s screen. However, some text will appear small, which can make some things a bit more frustrating to read for some users. Despite this, there haven’t been any noticeable instances of text being completely unreadable.
During the review period, there was an issue with flickering textures and character models on Steam Deck. Fortunately, this issue seems to be absent with the release of the game. There appear to be no noticeable issues with rendering as of the latest testing.
