Cygames has officially announced that a new feature called “Figure Mode” will come to Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. The feature will allow you to create dioramas using the game’s characters.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is a follow-up to the 2020 fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus. The updated version will include new modes and features, such as rollback netcode and crossplay functionality. The upcoming fighting game will be released on November 30.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Figure Mode Details
Figure Mode will allow players to create dioramas using the game’s roster. Creative director Tetsuya Fukuhara revealed more details:
“In this mode, you’ll place and edit Granblue Fantasy characters and set pieces found within Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising to create original dioramas. I think fans of Granblue’s characters will find it particularly enjoyable. Really, I feel the amount we’ve put into this mode is staggering.
There are a ton of high-quality 3D models to play with, as we really wanted to spoil our players for options. It’s possible to tweak even small details, so please post your dioramas online, and share your proud creations with the world! We’re also planning to host some type of official photo contest, but we’ll share more details about that when more has been decided.”
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising will include several more quality-of-life updates that were not present in the original game. These include a brand-new story mode, simple inputs, a more personalized experience, and more. Additionally, a Free Edition will be available. It will feature four playable characters, part 1 of the story, Grand Bruise Legends, online play, and lobby access.
Players may try out the Free Edition on November 30 and play with others who purchased the full release. Some features are limited in the free edition, however. Moreover, a second online beta test will be available in fall 2023. The beta test includes lobby matches, cross-play, and Grand Bruise Legends. Lastly, the full game will release on November 30. It will be available on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam.
