Capcom and Niantic have launched Monster Hunter Now, inviting newcomers and fans to begin their hunt for monsters on Android and iOS. Over three million players have pre-registered for the latest entry in the Monster Hunter series, and new features were revealed.
All players will receive Potion x10, Paintball x3, Founder Medal x3, Wander Pebble x3, Special Pre-Order Makeup x4, Item Box Expansion +500, and Double Reward Ticket x3 for reaching three million pre-registrations before launch. Fans may also stream ONE OK ROCK’s new collaborative single to celebrate the recent achievement. Capcom and Niantic also confirm several new features that are available in Monster Hunter Now.
Monster Hunter Now Launch and New Features
Monster Hunter Now is available right now on Android and iOS with nine supported languages: Japanese, English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese. Players have access to various features after downloading the game, logging in, and redeeming the pre-registration rewards. These features include the AR Camera Mode, Group Hunt, and Loadout.
AR Camera Mode allows monsters to appear in the player’s real world surroundings. Players may interact with the monsters to get their reactions and post them on social media. Moreover, the Group Hunt feature allows players to team up and take on monsters together. Friends may be added via QR code, friend code, or invite. Group Hunt may also be performed in parties, which allows groups to hunt together, even if they’re not close by. Monsters from another party may also be hunted down.
Like prior Monster Hunter games, Monster Hunter Now lets players make equipment and weapon pre-sets. This allows them to select their armor, weapons, and equipment before an encounter. Additionally, players may easily switch between equipment while in a hunt.
