In an official notice, Nintendo confirms that development of Mario Kart Tour is winding down with the company set to end content updates. Starting October 4, Mario Kart Tour will no longer receive content updates, and a schedule outlining the game’s immediate future was revealed.
Mario Kart Tour brought the signature gameplay and features of the series to mobile devices on September 25, 2019. The game would receive new content for the past four years such as drivers, karts, courses, and gliders. However, it appears that this four-year run is coming to a close in the near future.
No More Mario Kart Tour Content Updates
The latest Mario Kart Tour notice confirms that new content updates will cease on October 4. No new courses, drivers, karts, or gliders will be added, and tours will feature content from previous iterations. Players may still look forward to Anniversary Tour, Battle Tour, and Halloween Tour over the course of the next month.
