The staff of the upcoming anime movie, Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning, have revealed new key visuals for each of the main characters. The movie will premiere in Japan on October 27.
Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning features Daisuke Motomiya and friends from the original Digimon Adventure 02 anime. Released in 2000, the anime contrasted the prior Digimon series by introducing a new cast of characters separate from Tai and Agumon. The upcoming movie will continue the story of Daisuke and his many allies.

The new key visuals for Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning depict the movie’s main characters. They feature the DigiDestined from the second generation paired up with their DNA Digivolved. Check out the beautifully crafted posters above.
The movie is set in 2012, not long after the events of Digimon Adventure tri. and Digimon Adventure Last Evolution Kizuna. The main lead, Daisuke Motomiya, and the other main characters are all aged 20. Tomohisa Taguchi, known for the Persona 3 movies, and scriptwriter Akatsuki Yamatoya are making the movie. Alongside them, Yumeta Company and Toei Animation are providing the movie’s animation and production, respectively. The cast is as follows:

Digimon Adventure 02 The Beginning will release in Japan on October 27, 2023. At the time of writing, an English release has not yet been confirmed.
