During Aniplex Online Fest 2023, the staff for The Elusive Samurai anime confirmed that the series will premiere in 2024. A new trailer was unveiled alongside several new voice cast members.
Assassination Classroom author Yasei Matsui launched The Elusive Samurai manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in January 2021. The series is ongoing more than two years later, and fans will soon be able to enjoy a new anime by CloverWorks (SPY x FAMILY).
The Elusive Samurai Reveals Cast and 2024 Premiere
A new trailer for The Elusive Samurai reveals a 2024 premiere, but an exact date has not been announced just yet. In addition, a new key visual depicting Hojo Tokiyuki was revealed. Five new cast members are joining the previously announced cast of Asaki Yuikawa as Hojo Tokiyuki and Yūichi Nakamura as Suwa Yorishige.
The voice cast of The Elusive Samurai includes:

- Yūichi Nakamura as Suwa Yorishige

- Mari Hino as Kojirō (New)

Yuta Yamazaki is directing the new anime series at CloverWorks. Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us and Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! chief animation director Yasushi Nishiya serves as character designer for the anime.

After the massacre of his family by the traitor Ashikaga Takauji, Tokiyuki flees with the help of a handful of loyal retainers who have also survived the purge. One of them is Suwa Yorishige, an ally of the Hojo clan and lord of Suwa Province.
