The October issue of Saikyō Jump has revealed that Setta Kobayashi and Hachi Mizuno will launch an exciting new manga titled Spider-Man: Kizuna. The manga will be an original story based on the beloved hero. It will be available in the magazine’s October issue on October 4.
This year has been massive for Spider-Man fans. The hit animated movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was released in June 2023. Additionally, on October 20, the long-anticipated Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will release on the PlayStation 5. In the coming weeks, Kobayashi and Mizuno will likely reveal more information on Spider-Man: Kizuna.
Spider-Man: Kizuna Releasing in October
Kizuna will launch on Saikyō Jump on October 4. Setta Kobayashi will write the story, and Hachi Mizuno will illustrate the manga. They initially published the manga as a one-shot in the magazine’s September 2022 issue. The manga features Yū, a transfer student from Japan, who “fused together” with Spider-Man.
Kobayashi is primarily known for his work on mangas, such as the Black Clover spin-off Asta-kun Mahōtei e no Michi. He also published the ongoing Kaiki Kūkan Zo-Zo-Zo-Zone in 2022. Additionally, Mizuno is known for his work on the “Gag Reel” one-shot manga. It was one of seven manga short stories included in Marvel Comics and Shueisha’s collaboration in 2019.
The launch of Spider-Man: Kizuna comes just a few weeks before the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation 5. Spider-Man 2 follows up on Spider-Man on the PS4. The game will allow you to play as Peter Parker and Miles Morales as you fight to protect the city and contend against Venom and Kraven. The game is available now on pre-order for the PlayStation Store.
Lastly, the Spider-Man: Kizuna manga will release as part of the October issue of Saikyō Jump on October 4. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available on the PlayStation 5 on October 20. Stay tuned for more information on both releases in the coming weeks.
