NetherRealm Studios has officially revealed that Nitara will be added to the roster of Mortal Kombat 1. She will be portrayed by the famous actress Megan Fox.
Mortal Kombat 1 is the first new entry in the series in almost five years. The game features several obscure characters throughout the franchise’s history, such as Havik, Ashrah, and Nitara. The game will be released on September 19.
Nitara Comes to Mortal Kombat 1
After nearly seventeen years, Nitara is finally returning to the Mortal Kombat franchise. She’s a vampire trying to protect her people and keep them alive through any means necessary. Nitara’s sister is Ashrah. During EVO 2023, NRS confirmed that Ashrah would also be part of the game’s roster.
Nitara’s moves involve her grabbing her opponents to suck blood. Based on the new trailer, she can use the energy she takes from others for a power boost. Combined with her wings and claws, Nitara is a high-damage and high-mobility character that you do not want to fight.
Megan Fox will play the role of the Queen of the Vampires. Fox is primarily known for her roles in movies like Transformers and Jennifer’s Body. Interestingly, this is not the first time that Megan Fox has played the role of a vampire; in the aforementioned Jennifer’s Body and the Netflix movie Night Teeth, Fox portrayed the nightly creature. Shang Tsung will be available if you pre-order the game before it launches in two weeks. Additionally, NetherRealm Studios has also revealed the first Kombat Pack. It includes Homelander from The Boys, Omni-Man from Invincible, Peacemaker from Peacemaker, and The Suicide Squad. The pack also includes returning Mortal Kombat characters: Ermac, Quan Chi, & Takeda.
Lastly, Mortal Kombat 1 will release on September 19. The game will be available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stay tuned for more information from NRS on the game’s final roster before it launches later this month.
