Zegapain Mecha Sequel Anime Announced

Zegapain ADP revival screenings confirmed, too.

Sunrise and Bandai Namco Filmworks announced a sequel to the 2006 Zegapain mecha anime series is coming soon. The franchise’s official website has been updated with new details about what fans can expect in the upcoming sequel anime.

The Zegapain anime series follows the story of Kyo, the sole member of a high school swimming team. Kyo recruits Misaki to create a promotional video in order to keep the club from closing. Although Misaki agrees to help, Kyo is tasked with piloting mecha under the wing of Celebrum. This is a resistance organization from Earth that fights to destroy Deutera Areas formed by Gards-orm aliens. A total of 26 episodes were released in 2006.
