Today, an overview trailer for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon was shared on Bandai Namco’s official YouTube channel. As the trailer’s title suggests, it details what players can expect when they first play Fires of Rubicon. It covers four different aspects which outline the overall premise and structure of the game.

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Overview Trailer

Firstly, the initial part describes the story of Armored Core VI and its setting. This informs players of their role as an independent mercenary on Rubicon 3. Secondly, this part is followed by an overview of the game’s combat system. This section emphasizes the unique abilities of an Armored Core, allowing players to move freely between ground and air.

The third part of the trailer focuses on the game’s customization. Armored Core VI‘s gameplay can change depending on which parts are used. The durability and mobility of an Armored Core is dependent on which parts are chosen. Finally, the last section of the trailer details the mission structure of Armored Core VI.

The player will take on various requests as they progress throughout the game. These missions will bring players to large-scale locations across Rubicon 3. Occasionally, these requests will require the player to challenge tough bosses.

For anyone who’s still unsure of what Armored Core VI is all about, the trailer above should clear any confusion. It covers all the basics that need to be known before playing, especially for people experiencing the Armored Core series for the first time. However, if that isn’t enough, here’s a piece that explains how Armored Core isn’t like Dark Souls.

    Release Date

Fires of Rubicon is the first Armored Core game to be released in nearly a decade. The previous game in the series, Armored Core: Verdict Day, was released all the way back in September of 2013.  Fortunately, despite the long absence, it appears to be getting some very strong reviews.
