During Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live, HoYoverse released a new ‘Special Participation’ trailer for upcoming action RPG Zenless Zone Zero. The new trailer provides an inside look into what players can expect in the new title.
Previously, a trailer titled “Commission ID: ONL0822” invited HoYoverse fans to watch Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live to learn more about Zenless Zone Zero. In the teaser, HoYoverse depicts a journey to the Koelnmesse, which is the physical site of Gamescom 2023 in Cologne, Germany. The game’s mascot may be seen on various TVs set up across Cologne.
Zenless Zone Zero Trailer Highlights “Special Participation” in New Eridu
As previously discussed, Zenless Zone Zero is a new action RPG with an urban fantasy theme and fast-paced action gameplay. The new title boasts a “trendy and fresh aesthetic” style as players explore New Eridu, the last urban civilization that survived an apocalypse. This apocalypse was brought forth by the Hollows, a supernatural disaster that also harbors important resources for survival. Players will take the role of a Proxy, team up with friends and in-game characters, and solve the many mysteries of New Eridu.
The new “Special Participation” trailer highlights what players can expect in Zenless Zone Zero. The Proxy may hang out with characters such as Von Lycaon, Koleda Belobog, Anby Demara, and Soukaku. The game appears to have references to other HoYoverse titles such as Honkai: Star Rail and Honkai Impact 3rd. Additionally, players may seemingly engage in mini-games in the city of New Eridu.

A PlayStation 5 version of Honkai: Star Rail is currently in development with a Q4 2023 release window, and a technical test will be held soon. HoYoverse will exhibit Honkai: Star Rail at expos such as Gamescom 2023 and Tokyo Game Show 2023. Fans can expect “a full range of activities” and content at these upcoming events featuring Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact, and Zenless Zone Zero.
Lastly, Zenless Zone Zero is coming soon to Android, iOS, and PC. A release date has not been announced.
