Bandai Namco announced Tekken 8 will release on January 26, 2024 worldwide across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Producers Katsuhiro Harada and Michael Murray also revealed various returning characters in Tekken 8 and a brand-new mode.
At EVO 2023, producers Katsuhiro Harada and Michael Murray revealed that Raven returns in Tekken 8, and Azucena is one of the game’s newcomers. Harada recently confirmed that Tekken 8 will also be featured at Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live.
Tekken 8 Returning Characters and Arcade Quest Mode
Tekken 8 will launch on January 26 next year with a total of 32 playable characters on launch day. The game will include an all-new Arcade Quest mode, which appears to be similar to Street Fighter 6’s World Tour and Battle Hub modes. In Arcade Quest, players may create an avatar, enjoy arcade mode and online gameplay sessions, unlock gear for the roster’s characters, and so much more. Bandai Namco notes that Arcade Quest is separate from Tekken 8’s Story Mode.
Pre-orders begin today, August 22, featuring new Paul Phoenix avatar costumes. Players may earn exclusive Mokujin and Tetsujin avatar costumes by pre-ordering the PlayStation 5 version. The Deluxe Edition includes all standard items, the Kinjin Avatar skin, and the Playable Character Year 1 Pass. This pass includes four characters released after the game’s launch. Moreover, the Deluxe Edition includes a Gold Suit Pack of playable character costumes for all 32 characters.
The Ultimate Edition includes all content and bonuses of the Deluxe edition along with Avatar skins for Kazuya, Jin, and Jun. In addition, the Ultimate Edition includes 32 patterns of classic Tekken T-shirt sets for players for avatars.

Previously, a leak from the Microsoft Store backend reveals a January 26, 2024 release date. The game’s official Microsoft Store page was set to private in preparation for the game’s release date announcement at Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live. The page should be live now since pre-orders will be taken.
