Ys X: Nordics Takes Roughly 50 to 60 Hours to Complete

40 hours or less for more experienced players.

Nihon Falcom president Toshihiro Kondo recently sat down with Bonfire/Clouded Leopard Entertainment and A9VG to discuss Ys X: Nordics. In these new interviews, Kondo confirms that Ys X: Nordics may take roughly 50 to 60 hours to fully complete this September.

Ys X: Nordics begins just one month after the events of Ys II. Young adventurer Adol Christin and his trusty companion Dogi head into Obelia Bay for a new adventure. While in Obelia Bay, Adol meets Karja Balta, the daughter of the Balta Navy leader and the game’s heroine.

An Estimate for a Ys X: Nordics Playthrough

When speaking to A9VG, Kondo states that he completed Ys X: Nordics and acquired all collectibles within 40 hours on his third playthrough. First-time players may take roughly 50 to 60 hours to fully explore the game world and see what it has to offer. However, Kondo notes that players who are better at action games may clear their playthrough in faster time. Additionally, Kondo confirms there are rewards for playing on the highest difficulty in the Bonfire interview.

Here’s the translated excerpt from the A9VG interview, via Hansuke21:

-How long did it take to get through “Ys X“?

Kondo: It took me about 40 hours to complete all the collectibles on my third playthrough, and gamers who are better at action games may be able to get through it faster than me. First-time players will take about 50 or 60 hours to fully explore the area.

Finally, Ys X: Nordics launches on September 28 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 with Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean language options. A worldwide release has not been announced yet.
