After a three-month hiatus, the ongoing Boruto manga series will return as Boruto Two Blue Vortex with manga chapter 1. The manga picks up after the events of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations chapter 80 with a notable timeskip.
Mikio Ikemoto and Masashi Kishimoto’s Boruto Two Blue Vortex enters serialization after a near three-month hiatus. Boruto Uzumaki is faced with his greatest challenge yet, and the titular protagonist receives a new design to reflect the adversity he has faced. He will face even greater threats going forward with the release of the first chapter, of course.
Boruto Two Blue Vortex Manga Chapter 1 Release Date
Boruto Two Blue Vortex will continue the story of the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations with the release of manga chapter 1 on August 20 at 11:00 a.m. EDT / August 21 at 12:00 a.m. JST. The new manga chapter will be available in V-Jump Issue #10, which is also known as the October 2023 issue. In addition, the new manga chapter will be available through VIZ Media and Manga Plus in English simultaneously with the Japanese release.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex Preview
In Boruto Two Blue Vortex, Boruto deals with the consequences of Eida’s Omnipotence ability during Boruto: Naruto Next Generations chapter 79. The activation of Omnipotence caused everyone’s memories of Boruto to change, turning him into a target responsible for the death of Naruto Uzumaki, his father and the Seventh Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. Sasuke Uchiha appears to have been unaffected by Omnipotence due to his own visual prowess, so the two characters flee the village. Boruto’s tale in Two Blue Vortex continue years later.
Fans may also look forward to new episodes of the original Naruto anime to commemorate its anniversary this September. The Boruto anime is expected to return sometime after the new Naruto episodes air.
